Bring-a-baby:

Die Csárdás-
fürstin

Closed

Bring your baby to the opera!

Are you at home on maternity leave and fancy a trip to the Opera – to experience opera? We invite you and your baby to a small and cozy performance on the Main Stage, in the middle of the day.

While the full version of Die Csárdásfürstin is performed in the evening, we offer a shorter variant of the operetta during the daytime. Enjoy a condensed version of the story about Edwin and Sylva, who fall in love despite class differences and deep-seated prejudices.

Catchy music that stays with you

The production is performed on the Main Stage by a highly skilled chamber music ensemble and superb opera soloists. There will be fewer seats available in the auditorium than usual, but an intimate ambience – where it is perfectly fine for baby noises to mix with the music.

Practical info and tickets:

Prams can be placed by the cloakroom in the foyer, babies sit on laps.

If you are going to have an infant on your lap, choose the "Adult with child" ticket category. If you are bringing children who sit in their own seat, choose "Normal price" for yourself and "Children 0–16" for the child.
